Verona

Weltha E. Mackler, age 77 of Verona, WI died on Saturday, August 3. 2002 at her home surrounded by her family.  The former Weltha Elizabeth Clark was born July 31, 1925 in Evansville, WI to Andrew & Rose (Wealti) Clark. Weltha was married to Frank J. Mackler, Jr. on August 9, 1944 at the Salem United Church of Christ in Verona, WI.  They farmed in Verona-Springdale area.   Mr. Mackler died February 24, 2001. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Verona, of its Women's Guild, the Royal Neighbors of America and the Mt. Horeb Swiss Club.

Weltha is survived by, her son:  Michael (Pam) Mackler of Verona,        her daughter:   Pat (Harry) McCarthy of Madison, a grandson:  A.J. Mackler; 5 step grandchildren:  Chris, Chad & Carrie Meyer, Sean (Sandy) McCarthy, Megan McCarthy, her sister: Joyce McCollough of Westport, her brother-in-law:  Werner (Mary) Mackler of Springdale Township, her sister-in-law: Anna Burch of Charleston, SC and many cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Frank, and her sister: Rose Marie Messerschmidt.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 7, 2002 at the Salem United Church of Christ, Verona with Rev. Mark Yurs officiating. Burial will be in the Verona Cemetery.  Friends may call from 3-7 PM on Tuesday, August 6. 2002 at the ELLESTAD FUNERAL HOME, 500 N. 8th. Street, Mt. Horeb, WI.

The family would like to thank Pastor Mark Yurs, Dr. David Lonsdorf and Hospice and their staff for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Hospice or Ingleside Nursing Home.
