Berdell M. Opsal

Berdell M. Opsal, age 79, of Mt. Horeb, died on Sunday, May 5, 2002 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Lodi, WI. The former Berdell Camren was born on July 30, 1922 in Dane County to Odell and Pearl (Olson) Camren.

She married Alvie A. Opsal on November 2, 1962. He died on June 1, 1996. She was a clerk for the State of Wisconsin at the Adjutant General Office for 20 years.

She was a member of Mt. Horeb Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include sons: Tom (Mary) Lynch of Lodi, Jim (Sharon) Lynch of Howell, Michigan and Gerry (Janet) Lynch of Edmunton, Alberta, Canada; step-daughters: Pat Munz of Verona and Linda Tasso of Madison; A step-son: Michael (Judy) Opsal of Verona; 15 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren; brothers: LeRoy (Ruth) Camren of Deforest, Harold (Myrtle) Camren of Madison and Wayne (Roxanne) Camren of Sheldon; and a sister: Dorothy (Jim) Gullickson of Marshall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother: Pete Camren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 9, 2002 at Mt. Horeb Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Gulbrand officiating. Burial will be at Verona Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at the Ellestad Funeral Home, 500 N. 8th St., Mt. Horeb.
